We pretty much did destroy N.Korea - by the mid 50's. And if Truman hadn't fired MacArthur...he and LeMay would have NUKED it.

The book is out of print and LOST from all libraries. 2 guys who report well on the subject are the guys behind https://www.antiwar.com/ and http://officeoftheamericas.org/ . they both do Sunday AM radio shows on kpfk.org (8:30-10AM) - which streams - or 90.7 fm in LA.

as a reporter, I recall the US and Japan defaulting on an agreement made by Clinton with the North. It was like they wanted a bad guy... so they just stopped paying as promised, and Pyongyang went back to what got them that deal in the first place.
