I worry too much when I see people that do bad mouth a college degree, and don't realize how much those degrees play in their everyday life. Even Thomas Edison saw the need for further education even though he was home schooled. Henry Ford sought additional education. I've seen the difference between education and experience. I discussed this with a database designer a few years after I graduated. (something I'm very good at) The core to a business database is placing related information in separate tables, or files, and pulling from them. This guy had never heard the concept, yet he was writing databases for a major corporation, GM. They had a new system that just built on the old system that stunk as well. Look at all of the processes running in the background on your own computer and you may ask yourself, "Is that program really necessary?" Bloat ware.
