I've seen bands that are so drunk that they couldn't get through the first song. :)

A bartender/owner at my old local used to take time off to roadie for bands. He told me a story of one show where the bass player was so drunk he spent the entire set propping him up with his arms from behind the stage. :P

I've seen artists perform injured and be wheeled off stage on a stretcher at the end of the set. :)

I've yet to see something of that nature. Have a couple shows coming up. Have you ever heard of Ehnahre? Next Wednesday. And I have tickets to Boris in early October. :)

You've met Boris? I've been a fan since about their second or third album. I have pretty much everything they produced. But whenever they've come to town I've either had something else on the calendar or been sick. This time I'm going if they have to wheel me in on a stretcher. XD

I'm only slightly familiar with Ehnahre - my friend/band member is the fan - but I have stuff members are in (though I couldn't tell you what at the moment). And it's cheap. I think it's doom. Maybe. ;)

That would have been a cool show to see with Nirvana. I know who the Breeders are too. And I'm seeing now too a lot of the bands that I knew members are now in new bands which are doing well. It's a trip. I will try to check out Boris and I'll let you know what I think. :)

The Boris show is Monday night. Which gives me the chance to tell you that I do have a 5-day weekend starting after tomorrow. I'll be back Wednesday of next week.

I looked the bands up, I saw Boris is named after a Melvins song. And at least a couple of the band members of the Melvins remember me or at least they did at the show earlier this year. That was one point.
And since I think I saw Boris was a Japanese band it made me think of the band Cibo Matto which includes two Japanese girls. It's just what came to my mind when I saw the information about the band. I'm letting you see how my mind works in these situations. :)

I saw the Melvins open for Nirvana way back when (with the Breeders in the middle, now there was a line-up worth full price). Not really a fan but I wouldn't turn them off. I have a Cibo Matto CD somewhere and I may have seen them back in the '90s; either I did and all the beer consumed back then is affecting my memory, or I'm confusing them with Shonen Knife, who I also saw about the same time. Haven't listened to the CD in a long time. :)

My friend reminded me that Ehnahre has a couple members who formerly played in Kayo Dot. If you want to try some Boris you might go for "Feedback", one of the albums I never fail to turn the volume way up on. They have capital 'B' and lower-case 'b' Borises; 'B'oris plays average-length songs, 'b'oris plays CD-long epics. "Feedback" is a boris form. :)
