Lol. It's supposed to be at its worst at 5:00pm EST. in about 45 minutes, it's really been like a 6 hour thunderstorm so far, not too bad. Amazingly it hasn't rained really hard, you know, like cats and dogs, just a steady rain nothing you wouldn't endure on a typical rainy Seattle day

It actually rains more in Portland than Seattle. We had rain for the first time in weeks on Saturday night. Walked out of the bar to catch a bus home after watching the Richmond race and I actually felt bad that the bus came so quickly because I wanted to just stand in the rain.

Lol. Yea, we've had a few drought years here, just hot and sticky and every pop up thunderstorm would miss you! And when it does finally rain I just want to stand in it too! I know that feeling! :).

Damn, you can't beat nature for camouflage, if they didn't move I'd walk right by them! Oh God, my Dad had 2 .257 Ackley Improved, Mauser action(Less than 2lb trigger pull) rifles made for my brother and I, they're really nice. We don't own a rifle that's isn't heavily modified or cheaper that $2,500, it's just how my Dad is! Lol. And he's has at least a dozen of hunting/target rifles, and we load our own rounds, no off the shelf ammo! Now, my dad's favorite (while changing the barrel out, it was on so tight that it ruined the thread on the Rem.700 action) rifle, or the one he used the most was a custom .300 Weatherby Magnum, Remington 700 Bolt action, 28" PAC NOR barrel w/ muzzle brake (10:1 RH twist), synthetic camouflage bench/Target style stock w/ moveable check plate etc. Now, he paid over $5,000 and waited 2 years for it to be built by a renowned Weatherby freak gunsmith...then he had a $2,000 NightForce 50x power scope mounted on it, I called the rifle "The Executioner" because whatever you pointed it at out to 800+ yards was going to die! This is the kind of shit my Dad does, go big or go home! Lol

Nature will provide it! Justs depend's on where you post up, and yeah movement is the give away that gets you killed! Sounds like your Dad is a connoisseur of guns! I have some nice rifles but nothing like that Lol! Always been a pretty simple old man, guess it was just the way I was raised! When I was young I duck hunted with a single shot savage and killed more duck than anyone in the group! I bought my daughter a little single shot .223 and I love that little gun. The first gun I ever owned was a single shot Remington single shot, and I learned to make them count! Hunting and shooting has always been my greatest love Lol :)

When you get comfortable with a gun, be it from Walmart or a custom gunsmith, it just feels so right, you know except where it shoots, you can't beat that confidence or the thrill of firing it! As far as my Dad goes, his next door neighbor, Mr. Jones got him into this, Mr. Jones is in his 90's now, very successful reality lawyer, Mr. Jones was very good friends with Roy Weatherby, A.O. Ackley, Eugene Stoner! So every rifle my Dad got Mr. Jones advised him "Have this gunsmith build this, and that". Mr. Jones I swear knows so many people it's ridiculous! He's has a 3,000 acre plantation near Tifton, Ga. General Norman Scharzkopf used to go there and quail hunt! Crazy! The man has literally thousands of guns! I helped him move 200,000 rounds of ammo from his house in Atlanta down to his plantation, talk about a sobering drive! I was afraid of crashing and blowing up! And I don't scare easily either! Lol!

My brother John had a Remington 550-1 automatic shot shorts longs and long rifle, that thing had thousands of rounds shot through it and was one of the most accurate guns I ever shot! Damn 200,000 rounds the ride was squatting huh Lol! If the police had stopped they'd thought they had a terrorist and had you kissing the asphalt :)

Oh, I'm sure I was a State Trooper's nightmare! We left Atlanta about noon, we split the ammo up between 2 vehicles, Mr. Jones was pounding Bloody Mary's since 7:00am that morning! I didn't want him killing me either! Lol

I should be just fine, only thing that may give a problem is the wind, I have really tall ass pines and a few giant oaks around the house, you just never know? And I've been in the tree service business for two decades, all my trees are healthy but that doesn't mean shit in a bad storm, that's why I'm insured! Lol. :)
