I was young when I asked my dad, a WWII Navy vet, about the Army/Navy/Marine Corps fights we used to see in the movies, and the animosity it presumed. He told me that we should always be grateful that some people wanted to be in the Army or MC, that this is what made it possible for US to join the Navy. I have never forgotten it. Thanks.

That is awesome. My grandfather was in the navy also, my other a marine. Everyone has their purpose and we need all of them to succeed. We live on a joint AF/Navy base now so they all tease my husband and he does it back. They're all brothers though.

It's all out of love for each other if we didn't have competition we would be the strong Armed forces we are today.

My great grandfather was a ww2 veteran and was an Air Force military pilot

my great grandfather was a medic in WW2, he passed away a year ago. would't it be odd if they knew each other? man, i wish i knew him in his prime years.
