About the only thing to worry about in Nebraska is a blizzard or a tornado...and in my 48 years, I've never experienced a real live tornado...and blizzards you just stay inside.

We went through Nebraska on the way to and from Wyoming. It was my favorite place.

I've experienced a really bad tornado that tore up my parents house and major flood, and an earthquake in Hawaii. Major snow in Wyoming but I guess it's expected. That's it for me

I experienced a couple of earthquakes when I lived in San Diego back in the early 90's...Both epicentered in the LA area but we felt sizable aftershocks in SD. One was in Feb of '91 and the other was in June of '91...both were in the 5.7 range.

My sympathies go to them, but I do not pray. I have been to Texas, and it was nice. I hope they get relief soon, whether it be by better weather, supplies, or people who want to help them.

Anyone find it coincidental that the street name is water? And how the stop sign is more for the water then for people?

One of my best friends lives in the affected area. He's safe, and helping out any way he can, for which I'm thankful

I hope Texas is alright. It is so sad! 48 dead already. I hope no one else dies. And there is ANOTHER hurricane coming up, hurricane Irene I think.
