I can guarantee you in that KKK picture that every single one of them is a Democrat | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
The KKK is an Institution started by the Democratic Party, the late Senator Robert Byrd was a member. I'm just saying......I could care less about any of this but ignorance of the facts is inexcusable, no one likes those motherf*ckers, particularly me!

Hmmmmm.......some gall.......but on a serious note, I believe that too much of one side is too much, I think a great example (I'm talking about compromising, not the people themselves) is Tip O'Neil and Ronald Reagan. They both wanted to get whatever bill at the time passed, they knew that there has to be some give and take, both argued there side but yet they gave something up in order to keep moving forward. And at the end of the negotiations they would sit and have a beer with dinner. I wish we had more statesmen like that on both sides, there is so much bullshit these days! Anyway, I still love you, KenJ! Xoxox. :)

I agree. Reagan and O'Neil had the best interests of the country at heart. That's not going to happen nowadays and that's sad. LBJ was a gruff Texan and he had the gruff Texan ways, but his civil rights bills were what he really thought should be done; he was also a smart politician and knew it would help his party. The truth is that your'e likely right, most of those Klan members were probably registered Democrats. The Democrats were the majority party in the south during the civil war and for long afterwards. They were the economic populist party and the GOP was the business party, and the party that first forwarded civil rights. Southern working classes liked the populism, and the Demos used racial appeals to keep them to their side. But when northern Democrats started advancing civil rights is when the south started turning red. Finally Nixon actively sought to appeal to racism to bring a growing region into the Republican camp. Since then it's been a switch; south and midwest to red, north and far west to blue. The Democratic and Republican parties of the 1920s (when I'm guessing that Klan photo was taken) are not the same partied they once were. Basically we're not that far apart in our politics, Evilmandoevil. At least you like to think and read. :)

And you don't have to love me, just vote on my memes. XD

I should have typed 'the Democratic and Republican parties are the not the same parties they were in the 1920s'. I really need to commit to proofreading. :P
