While numbers of presidential death threats have been bandied about for decades, the Secret Service is not revealing just how many death threats have been made against the president by all manner of people. Every threat is taken seriously. As a class E felony, it could lead to time in prison or a mental institution, or, if you're a celebrity like Madonna or Ted Nugent, more press.
