I love drums, and I had every Rush album. The Police were interesting because of the timing. I used to be able to name many drummers in the bands back in the day.
For guitar, it was Black Sabbath! Their lyrics were also cool. Another band I really like the sound of is, Dire Straights. Yes, I get laughed at, but I really like that style of guitar. As guitar styles go, I really think the 60's surf rock was cool :-)
The Ramones were funny as hell, with a very catchy percussion beat.

Couldn't decide if you'd like straight Rush...

I like all kind of rock n roll. Rush, Styx, AC/DC. To name a few and The Police, Black Sabbath, The Ramones, Dire Straights, and The Beach Boys, were all standards in rock, which now influence up and coming bands. :)

I have seen so many bands during that stage of their career. So much swag it's unbelievable. :)
