Let me rephrase that. The new testament changed everything with the birth and death of Jesus Christ. In fact, the TEN COMMANDMENTS, which are the 10 most important rules God ever laid down for all humanity, state not to kill. Jesus is the one that will judge.

No Wampa we don't do away with the old testament. Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of the old Testament but it should not be done away with.
The purpose of the Old Testament (sometimes referred to as "the law and the prophets" because it contains the Law of Moses and the words of various Old Testament prophets) was to "bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith" (Galatians 3:24). When Christ died on the cross, the Old Testament fulfilled its purpose, and the New Testament was enacted as the will of God. Therefore, the New Testament sets forth God's conditions for salvation, regulates our worship, and regulates our conduct.

Exactly. I don't know everything about the Christian religion, (Mostly because I'm an Agnostic) But since I used to be Christian and read the bible and went to church, everything, I know that the Ten Commandments, like djolny said, says tho shall not kill. It doesn't matter who you have sex with, you don't kill them for having sex with there own gender. What you said up there in the meme can be classified as a criminal offense. That is called a threat. If I called the police about that, they could arrest you. Plus, think about this. If Jesus and God said that treat others with respect and love everyone despite their differences. So saying that, you basically are deifying God. How 'bout 'dem apples.

The old testament still has plenty of very valid lessons, and without the old testament many who died preaching would be forgotten.

No God doesn't cause it and he didn't change his mind. Evil always involves a sin. God gives people free choice but not free from consequence. Evil exist because of human sin.

I have seen many good arguments by members proving this as the case, but still here you are trying to make Christianity out to be as bad as sharia. I am pretty sure most Muslims would agree that sharia is wrong. (If not then I suppose they are not as peaceful as is claimed.) So why do people defend it by trying to make other religions look just as bad. And why just pick on Christianity? Ever heard of the church of euthanasia? They literally try to convince others to commit suicide! Why does no one try to make them look bad? It's not like he is condemning islam as a whole. Isn't sharia what they say "radicals" do? So why defend it? Sharia is bad for everyone, not just gays, not just westerners, everyone! It is especially bad for Muslims, I really don't know why they want it.

As I said before, I like you Octavia. But your persistence in defending things like sharia by shifting the heat over to Christianity is troubling to say the least. I understand that there are hypocrites in every religion that makes it look bad. So that is why I go to the teaching to find out the straight of it. And I have seen a lot of replies written to clear this question of yours up. I even tried before. So what is it you don't get? You can bring up that Leviticus verse until you are blue in the face but it will not make a dime's difference. Unless you ARE living in the time before Jesus that verse is no longer in use. As so many have tried to tell you, all of that changed once Jesus came. And before you mention the verse where Jesus said he didn't come to abolish the law. Keep in mind the second part where he said he came to fulfill it. And remember the adulteress the Pharisees brought to be stoned? Yes adultery was a stoning offense in the OT laws. Do you remember what Jesus done? He said let him without sin cast the first stone. They all left convicted of their sins and Jesus forgave the woman of her sins. Now, if Jesus was implying to follow the OT laws (as I have seen you mention before) why did he not follow the OT laws then and stone her? It is because he came to fulfill it!

And is it moot to point out that Christians are not killing gays? Not allowing men in the ladies' bathroom is NOT killing gays. Not baking wedding cakes for gays is NOT killing them. Does people use religion as an excuse to be hateful to them? Yes, I am undoubtedly sure of that. Does that make it right? No! Jesus refutes such behavior.

And what is wrong with what I said? Is it the defending Christianity you disapprove of or the condemning of sharia?

Nothing. I'm not objecting to any religion. I object to people who discriminate and think of only them selves. *Cough, *Cough, Republicans, *cough.

If we didn't think about other's we wouldn't protest sharia law.

LOL
Well if you feel that way about republicans then I am not going to try to convince you otherwise.

I am still unsure why I made you face-palm. I know I rambled a bit and it was late so it might not make much sense. But it had zero to do with politics. .... And where was I discriminating anyone?

What ever. We all have different views. The only thing that is the same with all people is that were humans.

I think djolny said everything that needs to be said. Unlike leviticus, where it says in the qoran to kill all the gays and what not still stands for them
