A friend posted this to me on FB and said I should have a go. 9% alcohol, is this from the Rouge Brewery, looks like it to me? :)

New Belgium brewery is in Denver, I think. I've not had that one. Old Crustacean is Rouge's high-alcohol poison of choice. Dunno if they'd have it in Georgia. Rogue makes good beers but they have a tendency to mostly stick with what they know, brewing a few standards and once-in-a-while going experimental. If you can find any Double Dead Guy that's an awesome beer, but good luck, it's hard to find even here. Friday at The Civic I had some Firestone-Walker (in California) Stickee Monkee, which was awesome and clocks in around 12% :P

I think I heard that the brewery stopped shipping that to individual buyers because they would turn around and flog it at auction for way inflated prices.

That makes sense! He says it's like crazy expensive and hard to find

It was being offered on Ebay for $40 a four-pack but is 'no longer available'. Like really expensive scotch I wouldn't spend it myself but would allow others to buy it for me.

I don't know what he paid but even without drinking it it's obvious the quality of beer is a 100 times better than the swill i used to wash whiskey down with!

Not sure washing down even good whiskey with $10-a-can beer is going to improve the experience much. But like I said, if someone else paid for it...

Actually Georgia changed of the alcohol limit on beer, it's either 15% or 19%. The argument for changing it was more or less, "Since the Olympics we're an International city, and the people who'll come visit are used to higher alcohol %'s so we should accommodate that!" That was the most intelligent thing the State of Georgia has ever done so far! Lmao! :)

Florida has a limit on the % of alcohol in beer...get this.....because they don't want people too drunk on the beaches and pass out and drown, or something along those lines! Georgia still has a few dry countries, too! Lol. :)

So how did Florida get the reputation for being such a weird place? ;)

There's something in the water down there that makes people not only stupid, but it makes them crazy stupid on a level never seen before! Just read or watch the local news there, you'll see exactly what I mean!!! Lol

In both the local paper and even on the news here they often say "guess what happened - only in Florida?" :)
