True. But it's an unfortunate consequence of the fact WE kept insisting on an ABM shield to deter their offensive capability. They correctly pointed out for years - and CNN et al never reported it - that we thereby subverted the equilibrium of Mutually Assured Destruction that had kept the nuclear world at peace for decades.
We said, "Oh trust us, it's for use against terrorism, we would NEVER use it against you, we would just let your stuff through."
If you were they, would you have believed liars like us? Clearly not.
The Russians suffered VASTLY worse in WW2 than we did. They want war less than we do. But they can read the writing on the wall and all the chess-piece moving that the CFR and Trilateral Commission are pulling off.
Give them credit. They're excellent chess players. They're simply not fooled by our lies.
