how dull was it?!?

One of the nice beaches I ever got to visit was Birch Bay Washinton :)

I've never been to there. Our Oregon beaches are great - and ALL publicly owned. I can't imagine going to a bringht sunny beach with pristine sand as far as the eye can see; I'm too used to scenic craggy rocks and stormy weather when I go to the coast.

That's how is was in Washington! But when the Tide went out it was so Beautiful! Looked like God's fingerprint! :)

I have to laugh when east coasters say a flat expanse of beach and water is a beautiful view. ;D

I think any beach picture is beautiful. Right now when I look up I see the moonlight shinning on the Pacific Ocean. Another beautiful sight. :)

Lucky you. Right now when I look out I see the street right off of my receiving dock. There are some trees. :)

That's ok...trees and docks are beautiful things. A dock says you are near water too. :)

Well, the dock I work at is a loading dock in Downtown Portland. The Willamette River is about a mile away, though I see it every day when I cross it to-and-from work. I can look up and see forested hills. :)

That sounds very nice too. Lush green forests...How you miss them when you live in the city. I have the beach, the ocean. tourists, and traffic. Although tonight I did go and see The Melvins, so it's not all bad. :)

I do live in the city, but Portlanders have seen fit to not cut down all the trees.

The Melvins, huh? I saw them open on a bill with The Breeders and Nirvana back in the early '90s. Not a huge fan but like similar bands. Tomorrow night I have a ticket to go see Thou, which are a sludgy doom metal band. Should be good.

I like all kinds of music. Metal bands are good too Arch Enemy, although when I saw them they still had the male singer. Mastadon, Turbonegro? I've seen all kinds of bands over the many, many years. I went to say hello to the lead singer and of course the show. Sorry you're not a fan, but it does say something for a band that was playing in the 90's to still be selling out clubs today. Hope you have fun at Thou. :)
