Actually, I have been finding myself in that kind of situation these past few days: The batteries in the DVD player remote went flat, so I've been swapping batteries between that remote and the one for the T.V. And yes, I could go and buy new batteries, but I'm trying to save money at the moment, and at the end of the day I lack the motivation to go out and get any more.

That is better than buying a whole bunch of batteries to keep in a closet and then when you need them, they are all dead. This happened to me once for trying to "save" by buying in bulk. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
