It’s just a personal decision I’m making.

I’m not trying to be prudish or anything, but when the Mods uploaded the afternoon batch to the latest today, that was my ‘line’. The 14 or so on the latest page today contained 11 NSFW of bouncy boobies and quivering butts.

Todays Imgflip is just everyone trying to get “my theme week” and /or post NSFW images. While I admit to playing the flirty Hayden persona, I think the grey area has just turned black and white for me. It’s one thing to joke around in the comments, because we chose to go there, but I will not be opening up to the latest or hot for a while.

I have MANY great friends here, I have 103 of you guys in my bookmarks! So I’ll be logging in to my profile as usual and going straight to YOURS!

I, like everyone else, loves to see their memes get to the top, but I’m not here for the points, never have been. Maybe when this fad wears down, I’ll be back submitting. BUT I’M not leaving!!

I am pretty tired of it too. Not sure how bikini week is different than cleavage week we just went through. I patiently waited for it to end.....and then it didn't. I think I will just put on the NSFW filter for the next week and then see how it goes.

I totally agree and didn't know it was bikini week until I checked imgflip at lunch, saw the first bikini meme and literally moaned out loud. Several people turned cuz they must have thought something was"wrong". I'm not a prude but these types of themes are not fun for me. Take care Girlfriend:)

lol. I'm not against good boobs. It is just overkill on here, and it's not funny. I prefer clever and funny memes. If men want to see bouncy boobs there are plenty of places on the internet to visit.

It might surprise you, but I'm getting tired of the soft porn type pics. If I want porn, I'll google it and get the good stuff (Which I do) but I come here mostly for laughs. When Ghostofchurch was setting up the theme week stream, There were enough women that found a proposed panty week theme offensive. This on the heels of the yoga pants week. It's one thing to take a theme like these and shoot for a laugh (I think I succeeded, although even fully clothed women were getting tagged NSFW. I've only now made my first submission to bikini week, https://imgflip.com/i/1pbldj and I think it represents how it should have been handled. the only way users can fight these themes is to poke fun at them. For Yoga Pants, I put a donkey in coveralls and had Yogi Bear wear a pair. Cleavage week? Again, I shot for laughs. The only option available for offensive memes, though, seems to be downvoting them back to submission.

Yeah, that's kind of my point. And could care less about bikini week if it were about the humor of it or if it fits into a clever comment. But if it's 'here are big boobie look at me' then this place isn't for me. Again, I'm a big girl and have my big girl panties on...figuratively heehee.....but I've had enough. About 20 years ago, I got tired of all of the spammers shoving their porn pics down the throats of the Usenet users. They'd post porn in nearly every group trying, and worse, succeeding, in getting customers to their porn sites. I started snagging them and posting those spam pics on a site I had on an adult server. Oh, but I captioned them first. I'll let you imagine how I handled those. The easiest one you can imagine involved a man and his chicken... and the caption about the Colonel's Secret Recipe. I'll let your mind fill in the rest.

I applaud you for your decision to take a step back for awhile. I do enjoy your memes and comments, and they will be sorely missed. I have been debating taking a break too, as 80 - 90 percent of what I see is gray boxes, and my up vote average has dropped considerably lately. I completely agree. the Cleavage week, Bikini week, basically all of MyMemesAreTerrible's memes are just butts or boobs. (Not making fun of him, just an observation.) I waited for Cleavage Week to end, but 2 weeks later, here we are. I mostly don't contribute to these, but I draw the line here. I wish we could just go back to the old imgflip, with just different memes on every side. I'm not exactly looking forward to the whole front page just filling up with inappropriate memes with just bikinis and cleavage. But I don't want to turn the NSFW filter off because sometimes, cuss words can actually make the meme funnier and give me a genuine laugh. But I agree. I'm pretty done with this shit too. I have been submitting less than I once did for the past few weeks, and thats partly because of the theme weeks drowning them all. I rarely participate in them, I don't think I have since I created this account in January. But another reason is exactly this. I can barely look at the front page of either latest or hot memes due to all these NSFW memes, and I will not check that box.

I don't mind the theme weeks as much, although they do get annoying after awhile, the NSFW memes are overboard. I won't even think about considering the possibility of maybe deleting my account, but I will consider a break from it all, just until I think it might be over.

TammyFaye, I couldn't agree with you more. I was also tired of the perverted members on imgflip who have absolutely no respect for women. I am a single teenage male and I still think these were AWEFUL ideas.

Well said Tammy. Hopefully the other male memers take notice of how these types of theme weeks and over use of this type of meme drives away what little female population is on the site. It's really a shame to lose one of the top (female) memers on the site because of this. I can only imagine the potential talent that was driven away from the site because they thought that's what this site is all about.

It's a humor site, I come to laugh. Scantily clad folks (male or female) can be extremely humorous when used in the right comedic context. This isn't a porn site and I'm extremely disappointed with the abundance/frequency of NSFW theme weeks. I'd rather just have an NSFW weekend where we tell dirty jokes and drop f bombs. There's far better sites for boobs than imgflip, I mean come on, the internet is 99% porn anyways.

Theme weeks used to be fun when they happened once every 2 or 3 weeks or were even just a weekend. We seem to have a minimum of 3 a week and they've certainly lost their appeal because they're no longer something to look forward to. When you went over a week without a theme week and someone announced an awesome theme, now that was something to look forward to (Use the Username Weekend comes to mind).

I've still got you bookmarked, even if I've been too busy to use the bookmarks much lately. :(
