There was a front pager from one of the top 10 users complaining about that a few weeks ago, and he said he downvoted such, others agreed.
Maybe that's what happened?

Only to a few similar memes that I liked and upvoted.I don't do what some users do by posing a link on every meme on display.
Usually my memes feature in a short amount of time even with 1 upvote.
It's not that important,I can always just resubmit it.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how many views or how many upvotes, it just ain't going to get featured. Here's an old one of mine, tons of people jumped on to comment and help it along. Never went anywhere.

I tend to avoid political and religious memes since I got active commenting in November.
Silly endless flame wars with sad trolls who say nothing but ad hominems while I post actual replies based on fact or at least informed opinions.
Things have cooled down in the last two or three months, but still it happens,,,
