The Truth about FGM

Sorry for the long rant...your stance against FMG and that whole mindset is one of those "Don't get me started!" kinda things! I'm glad you brought this issue to people's attention, God Bless! :)

That is so wrong on so many levels.....I've been over in that part of the world (South and Eastern Africa and the Middle East, in no way am I trying to infer and superiority over these people (other than firepower, I was in the Corps during Iraqi Freedom) but this is what you get with the tribal structure of their society, it's completely ass backwards, no reason or logic, it's your father did this, his father did this, and now it's your turn to do it! No if ands or buts! Quite honestly having delt with that,,despicable thinking, if they all just dropped dead this second (minus the children) I would give two shits about them....they'll kill family members for the smallest tribal infraction with a smile on thier face, I've seen it!!

The same could be said about male circumcision, except that is perfectly acceptable when done to infant boys.

Although I do not believe in male circumcision either FGM is performed on girls as old as 9 or older and involves mutilation that removes the C, and stitching the v. Many women suffer lifelong pain and were old enough to remember the ordeal. That is nothing like male circumcision.

It isn't acceptable in my little family.. and I couldn't be prouder of the decision-makers contained within.
