Rock Week! Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple Man

I grew up in Kansas right across the state line of Oklahoma, Steve and Cassie Gaines were form Miami Oklahoma! Before Steve signed on with Skynyrd He had a bad called Crawdad and they always played at a place in Galena Kansas called the Ranch! It had been an old roller rink and they used to fill it up in the 70's! Like Ronnie said when the band introduced him Funky G Damn that boys funky! Good times! You should Google it and check it out! :)

Hahaha Yeah, they were damn good! And I just didn't see him play! I even went to their house once outside Joplin Mo and got high with them! I was 17! The whole time I was there steve had his Guitar in his hands picking! They have a facebook page: Crawdad lots of old pictures of them on there! Lots of good bands played at the Ranch! It's on Google too I think! :)

I feel for for having to go through the 70's clothing style, although I had to wear the hand me downs into the early 80's, there at least we're a few people that didn't make you wanna puke at first sight! (Well, looking back, that is.) You poor bastard, I cry for you! Lol. Ha ha! Chickens had bell bottoms you had to take off before you could choke them!! :)

Hahaha, hell we were always high as hell or drinking and fighting somewhere! And most of the time n the summer wouldn't have anything on but a pair of old ragged ass blue jeans Lol :)

Yea, then there were all those fatal disco ball accidents at roller skating rinks....you've been lucky to make it through the 70's.....it was a dangerous time...(rolling on the floor laughing!) :)

I think the only time that I was inside a disco I was looking for someone lol :) If I was dancing there were two nice buns in my hands! :) Been trying to put me another muti-panel rock meme together! Rock :)

I saw this meme, really cool! I'm just a little concerned, a man your age, making such long, multi paneled memes! What if your joint falls and you lean over to pick it up and fall into your plate of nachos, who's gonna save you? You could eat your way out, but that may take a while and not having a drink could prove deadly! Lmao! :). Ha ha!

I hit a button and lost a meme the other day, I went on a five minute swearing spree that would have made a sailor cringe! Lol

Yeah, that's what happened to me! this is 21 panels, and I think I had 19 of them in place and lost it! I'm glad my daughter wasn't here LOL :)

Yeah, I sure would have liked to see some peckerwoods like that come in the Parrot back home lol! F**king rednecks back there whup a man just because it was their day of the week to beat someone's ass! In all my years of living, I've never had a suit or a neck tie on! Just ain't me! I used to tell my wife if something happened to me not to bury me in no damn suit lol :) Now I'll wear dress slack and shirt, but that's for a funeral or something! :)

I hate suits, too! I had one suit I called "The Wedding, funeral, court appearance" suit! Lol. :)

This is amazing rpc!!!! Truely beautiful bud! And now, reading through the comments I'm in awe! What a sad deal for him and his sister! Just read also that their mom was killed in an automobile accident just a couple years later near the cemetery where they were buried. Sad.

Thank you Spudly, I appreciate it very much! Very sad, is was like Don McLean's American Pie, it was the day the music died! If Steve had lived he would be one of the Guitar legends of today! It was awesome to see they Play at the roller rink, turned bar, The Ranch in Galena, Kansas! Hahaha back then Kansas was a 3.2 beer and you only had to 18 to drink! Both Oklahoma and Missouri was 5% and had to 21, so all the kids across the lines come there to party! My Mom owned the Green Parrot Bar In Galena from 1980 till 2005! Galena is all undermined because it was the site of the biggest lead and zinc mines in the country! In 2005, an old mine open up in the back of the old two story building and compromised the structure of the building and it had to be destroyed! Ah, people and things come and go, but we always have our memories! :)
