I know they did references to movies from other decades, one of which being "The Wizard of Oz".

Lot of 80s references in general. I'm a huge 80s fan, and I have no doubt the references go over my friends' heads, which is annoying.

One of my favorite references was the "Red ____ standing by" from one of the Star Wars episodes, to which Michael Hucknall and his band respond, "Simply Red, standing by."

You don't recall the first season? I watched it with a gen Xer and he didn't get half of the references. He couldn't figure out why I was laughing my ass off
