Ha-ha! Actually, you have pretty much nailed it! I needed time to catch up with things at home and I'm leaving next week for 4 months to work in North Carolina, so I had to forget about making any memes today---not that I always get the response that I have in the past week. Just got lucky, lol :)

Did some work at the Airforce Base in Goldsboro years ago. It's called Seymour Johnson AFB (giggle giggle)
Outer banks are amazing. My family gets together and rents a beach house for a week every year.

I cannot remember but I know we caught a ferry somewhere around Moorhead (I think it was called that) and there were wild horses there and we kept driving and came to a bridge that brought us back to the mainland.

Sounds like you took the ferry to Ocrakoke Island then drove up thru hatteras and nags head. It is amazing there. My family gets together in EmerAld Isle by Morehead. It's crazy seeing those horses wild on the beach!

Yes, that's it exactly. I recognized the names and that is exactly where we went:) Yes the horses are amazing--we rounded a bend in the road and came upon a lot--very beautiful! What a blessing to go every year! :)
