Instead one of those on Thanksgiving one year while in the Army during combat training in the field. They asked for volunteers and since I didn't have family around for hundreds of miles, I raised my hand. Some of those MRE's aren't all that bad, actually.

Please, why don't you explain this ridiculous theory about the US being on the Middle East "for oil"? That is the same thing they said when we went into Iraq in 1991. It wasn't even close to be true then and it is not true today. But, I am willing to entertain your theory if you can explain it.

Not only that, we have used our taxes to help repair and build the oil wells of which we have not gotten a drop of, unless bought in the open market.
