He's from "Only Fools and Horses" a classic UK sitcom. The main character is Derek "Del Boy" Trotter who buys and sells pretty much anything and everything with his brother Rodney and their Uncle Albert. Mike is the landlord of The Nags Head pub (a "Nag" being slang for a horse). Boycie is married to Marlene and are long term friends of Del Boy. Trigger is a bit slow on the uptake and missing the point - he's called Trigger because he looks like a horse. Hope that helps :)

I went to his museum in Victorville, CA which is also where he lived and he was out back training a bird dog to fetch a "bird" that he was throwing using a fishing pole and then reeling it back in. He actually seemed kind of shy but then maybe he was just sick of people like me saying "hi". LOL

That's such a wonderful memory to have and share :) Yes they are just ordinary people like you and me! I'm sure that peace and quiet and alone time is something he had very little of! Always in the spotlight :)

USS Trigger, WWII US Submarine that sank the Japanese destroyer Okikaze, minelayer Nasami, submarine tender Yasukuni Maru, the cargo ships Momoha Maru, Noborikawa Maru, Yowa Maru, Argun Maru, Yawata Maru, Delagoa Maru, Eizan Maru, Miike Maru, an unnamed freighter, tankers Shiriya and Shoyo Maru, heavily damaged the destroyer escort Kasado, cargo ship Hawaii Maru, cargo ship Asosan Maru, and damaged the aircraft carrier Hiy?. There were plenty more ships sunk and damaged by the Trigger you can read about on this link. The Trigger was sunk on March 28th, 1945 by aircraft and depth charges from Japanese ships: the Kaibokan Mikura, CD-33, and CD-59 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Trigger_(SS-237)

Absolutely! Seemed like folks were talking about famous "Triggers", this Trigger is pretty amazing. My grandfather (91 years old and still full of piss and vinegar) fought in the Pacific in Navy against the Japanese, he was at a few of the battles the USS Trigger was involved in.
