Oh, Hah-Hah. But I still saw it as being modeled after a standard-sized van of the 1960's and 1970's, not an oversized one like your pic.

I believe it was supposed to be a VW Van, hippy/love-in style.
Actually I just discovered I made a mistake, Shaggy's last name is Rogers :P I just assumed that Scooby used the same last name as his owner.
