I miss the snow! I was raised in Kansas and spend a lot of my youth in the rocky mountains! We hardly ever get snow in Alabama:(! I took a trip abut 10 years ago to Madison Wisconsin Loved it there! :)

I love the snow until the calendar says it's Spring. Then I get cabin fever. :)

I love the UP! I've been to Copper Harbor and Pictured Rocks National Lake-shore. Such a beautiful area with the bluffs, the waterfalls, and the clear blue-green waters of Lake Superior. No sharks, no salt, no problem. :)

Then you drove through my town on the way to Copper Harbor!

Lucky you! I'm sure you've seen the snow meter for Keweenaw County. I have pictures of this. Unbelievable amounts of snow. I'm sure it's because it's a peninsula jutting out into Lake Superior getting tons of lake effect snow.

Yes it's just up the highway from me. We had 22 or 24 feet this year. And you are right about the lake effect snow:)
