Current research shows that dietary cholesterol has no effect on heart disease. The original study used to promote lowering cholesterol used a percentage of a percentage. David Diamond Ph.D. did a presentation called How Bad Science and Big Business Created the Obesity Epidemic. You can find a video of it on Youtube. However, the amount of nitrates used in bacon can cause some people issues. Those same nitrates have been used to control wild hog populations. The hogs, and some people, lack enough enzyme to convert ferric iron in hemoglobin back to ferrous iron, creating a condition called Methemoglobinemia. There are claims that nitrate contamination in water does not cause the issue in humans, but there are legal reasons for this claim that have to do with EPA approval of chloramine in water treatment and avoiding lawsuits.

This is actually not true. If you was to eat only 2 lbs of bacon a day for a month, you would be able to lose weight. Depending on how it was cooked and the type, it would be 2,000-2,500 caleries, would be a source of protein, and it helps cut out the carbs.
Now that pile there is probably about 10 to 15 lbs of bacon, uncooked, and if you was to try to eat that much in a day, thrn yea you could end up with some problems.

I am quite skeptical. Even if I just eat a little bit of bacon, I feel sick.... there is so much fat in it...

How do you cook it?

In a frying pan or in the oven.

That would be the problem. You should really look into getting a George Foreman cooker instead. Need to cook it in such a way that the bacon doesn't stay in the grease.
