Defunding Planned Parenthood over legal abortion services is what causes them to close down. And the abortions are never paid for with federal dollars. That's part of the law that was intended to fund the vital health services for low income women that Planned Parenthood provides. Don't let the GOP lie to you. That's how they get your vote.

The way I see it, Planned Parenthood is a business. They charge for their services. Any company that requires federal funding, any company for any reason, is a failed company in my opinion. As for those that need help paying, that help should come from their insurance companies or they can apply for government help directly. There's no reason for federal money to go directly into a business, unless of course the government is purchasing that business' goods or services.
