Where were you at? That's a 1st MarDiv logo, if I'm not mistaken. That's where I went to ITS, started out as an 03XX but later became a winger.

I was based at Pendleton camp Horno in the middle of nowhere. I was a Machine gunner 0331, I got to play in the sandbox in Iraq when the war kicked off. It was mostly fun with moments of "wow this really sucks". All said and done I wouldn't do anything different.

I was at The Gunny's course in Jan - Feb '03 and I think that we went to Horno for some training...so we might have been there about the same time, unless you deployed before that.
