I seriously think it WAS staged!!
I think it was so close that the Academy went to the producers and said "Hey... ya all were so close to winning and we want to do something big that will be talked about for years...
Will you go ahead and make your acceptance speeches and we'll let you say them, then immediately announce the real winner.
Who wouldn't say no to that?
If they did say no... they wouldn't have got their additional few seconds of glory..
And if they said yes... it would be talked about for days, weeks, even years to come!
It was a no brainer....
And hence.... I really feel it was staged...
Also the fact that the producers graciously acted and didn't seem totally freaked out....
CUse if this had been real... guaranteed.... all hell would have broken out!!
