Well, I see that you are Differently Furred. Personally, in my PC efforts, I no longer refer to the Sun, but rather the Child; our street has Personhole covers; and we long ago ditched our Mailman for a Personperson. (Letter-carrier being a terrible misnomer, add well as undignified. ) Also, we don't have either firefighters or firemen, because we voted that a fire has rights too.
