True story...

When I was a teen, my cousin came to stay with my family. We never used the back burner on the stove, so it had collected some grease splashes. She started a fire trying to boil water. We still tease her about it.

My oldest girl will never be a great cook because she's like her mother: it's always the same things she cooks. If her husband's or boyfriends didn't know how to cook, she would have starved trying to learn. Her husband does 90% of the cooking, and her boys are coming along, learning how to cook from him. Don't know if they'll grill in the wintertime, but that gene will kick in one day.

My younger daughter's ex is a good cook, but so is she. She's taught her girls well. I went to pick up the youngest Sunday, and she was fixing supper. The girl's only 10. She has a good start towards being a pastry chef. Her other sisters know their way around a kitchen, too.

Sure. Place your cookies in the bottom of your grill. Spray with lighter fluid. Light the fluid, and the cookies will catch fire. Just like charcoal, the main ingredient is charged plant material. I'd add some kingsford, though, to help the cookies stay hot coals.

The secret is in the marinade, and slow cooking.

Besides, while a grilled steak is nice, barbecue around here is usually chicken.

l like to marinate that for a day in my own marinade. Not store bought, ready made. Falls right off the bone. Barbecue for 1/2 hour, then finish up cooking in crock pot. Don't even need my teeth in for that. Have the smoke flavor and everything. Which reminds me, I should get my smoker out of the storage shed soon.

I do the same method I cook my steak for my chicken, which is one of the main reasons why I have lost 45 lb. since May 2016.
