I've been to the Smoky mountains, specifically in Tennessee, it snows quite a bit in winter and spring.

I just moved from Tennessee back in August. I was in Putnam county, Cookeville, TN. Last winter we got a few feet of snow. The year before when I was in Murfreesboro we got about 5 feet of snow. School was cancelled for the entire week plus the following Monday and Tuesday. There was literally no one on the very busy street next to where I lived. During that time. Now I live near flint,MI, where right now it is heavily snowing with about 2 feet of snow already on the ground.

Yes you've said that to me before. Hokeewolf and I actually had a conversation about it on a certain meme (I can't remember which one) over a month ago. That hand, I assume, I'd pointing where you live. That looks like... Lansing? Or maybe Ann Arbor?

Looks like Lansing is closer to the center than that when I looked at a michigan map. I am guessing Adrian maybe?

4 inches gave us a 2 hour delay, and they didn't cancel school unless there was 6 inches ON THE ROAD!

Of course, Michiganders knew how to drive in snow back then, too.

I'm a Michigander, and it's so funny to see out-of-staters drive here in winter. And scary. Lol

I was in Oklahoma for almost 12 years, and when I came back, I couldn't believe how many Michiganders couldn't handle the snow anymore!

Yeah, i forgot, there is that period at the start of EVERY winter when Michiganders seem to forget how to drive, but it seems to come back to them. Then, you can tell who's not from here. People with trucks are the worst because they assume 4wd is good in every condition!

My first winter in Oklahoma, they canceled school for 1/4 inch of snow, and I was all like, "WTF!!!" Then driving down the road, I'm going the speed limit, passing cars going at idle speed, and seeing a ton of them had spun off! Not to mention wearing a jacket when everyone else was all bundled up... They just don't know how to winter in Oklahoma.

I live in Massachusetts and we just got a foot more of snow yesterday. School was canceled and told there was a two hour delay. The snow was fluffy so shoveling wasn't bad, but the wind made the drifts up to two feet. So a couple hours after clearing snow you have to go out and do it again.
