Yep. I own the 1911 model 45's in addition to the Glocks. The business end of the 45 looks as bit as a city sewer pipe when drawn.

I ended up getting an XDM. I wish I had got a 1911. I just can't get comfortable with not being able to decock it. I like a pistol with a hammer.

My next one will be a 1911 Smith, or Kimber. I haven't decided yet.

My 1911's are Kimber's. I have one in a compact 45. The other is a mini 1911, every day carry in 9mm and fits nicely in my pocket.

I promise I won't ruin your point by mentioning .460 Smith and Wesson. I promise.
