There are 248 Republicans in congress, while there are 192 Democrats. The Senate has 54 Republicans while the democrats only have 44. How is it that the Republicans cannot convince enough democrats to cross the line. The senate vote had 50 in favor of the budget, and 49 against. So if the bill was so good, how was it that close? One rabid conservative I knew was out of work for a few years and her cash flow was tight. The office she worked in had closed and the jobs were shipped overseas. She couldn't find a job to save her life, she said. I looked in her local paper, and, sure enough, McDonald's was hiring. Burger King was hiring. Long John Silvers was hiring. KFC was hiring. She wouldn't "stoop to doing THOSE kind of jobs". So the liberals took those jobs. Oh, and the Mexicans. It's been over a decade and the last time we spoke, a few years ago, she was still without a job. SMH. A lot of guys around here, when the factories started hiring again, got jobs fast because they'd gone to work in the low pay jobs shortly after being laid off. At the time, the factories were looking for workers, and if you were out of work six months or longer, you had a hard time getting a job. Employers are looking for people that are willing to work, no matter what.
