Not sure what your unfeatured memes are like, but if they're socio-political they have to be really bad.

Try to keep your memes funny, especially political memes. One reason I don't ost them. Post a funny enough meme, even if it's opposite of my progressive stance, and I'll upvote it.

I don't post many political memes, but when I do, I stress humor. Go back to my early memes in November and December. Not page one, but they got views and upvotes. Because they were funny.

Also, I recommend dropping the anti-women posts. The upvotes you lack on most posts are because you've developed a group of mainstream users that may not appreciate them. They come across tol whiney. Like a kid that wanted to play stinkfinger with his classmates and got his hand slapped away. The women on the site are doing the same thing. Half the population in this world has a va**na and that's the half that makes the rules. Learn to lay the he before you bitch about the rules. Those change, anyway. Count the number of wen you've been with in the last year. I've been divorced 2 1/2 months and have only been with 5. And I'm not even stringing them along. No bad for a disabled fat guy looking at 60, when you figure I'm old enough to be their father.

Focus on bad puns. That's your user name. Go to the library and get a book or two on bad puns. Focus on those. do an internet search on bad puns. Be entertaining. At this point you have 2 upvotes. Some people automatically downvote upvote whoring. Not good.

Summary: leave the political posts to the guys that have the following. You haven't developed the knack or audiance they have.

Drop the woman bashing. Until you have the experience to post a personal anecdote. Look to your experience and share. Until you can say from experience that a Hummer from a toothless woman is not only pure heaven, but you don't have to worry about a second circumcision from a chipped tooth, you'll only attract dissenters that downvote you.

Focus on the humor. That's where you get your followers.

I went through your memes that featured. Just the first page had a couple of woman bashing memes. You may THINK your dissing liberal women, but how you handle it comes across as woman bashing.

And there is also another problem: bashing. You lack the experience to do it properly. You're what, a sophomore in high school, right. This is the level your memes are done at, at any rate. You lack the experience to be a proper insult comic. You also lack the audience. Look at the names of the conservative posters on the leader board. If you think you're as good as them, why haven't you passed my points with two extra weeks on here? Half of your memes dont even feature, and it's not just because mods are picking on you. Two or three, maybe, but not half of your submissions.

My advice: tone down, not eliminate, your political rhetoric. You haven't developed the knack or audience for it. Focus on the humor: real humor. Look at some of the Presidents in the past. Reagan, and GW Bush. They understood the posed of humor. I watched DUHbya at a press Corps dinner, and, while i ay not have liked him as a president, he was a likeable guy. I'd have a beer with him. Or a cup of coffee. He didn't need to get down right dirty. When he did, it emphasised his point, not make people roll there eyes and day, not this shit again.

But, what you do with your account is your business. If you really want discussions, make your posts interesting, not inflammatory.

Sorry I couldn't type more bc I was in school. Let's talk. Is it my fault that the college liberal meme is a woman? No, I can't. There are male liberals too, and I am bashing them as well. Men can be feminists, and women can be anti-feminists. Was I specifically targeting women? In what way? I'm just making jokes. Can you understand them. Comedy can be dark, and in fact, most of it is. The thing about imgflip I cannot stand is how easily top memers get to the top, when they don't even post funny memes sometimes. I'm not saying they're not funny. Please understand that, but they get to the front page almost every time because everyone looks at their accounts and upvotes their memes, no matter how funny. People with points like yours and mine have to try harder, and we still do not always succeed. Not to mention, I've grown nearly 18,000 points in a month, which is an increase of over 50%. I'm too lazy to do the math. 3 months ago I also deleted almost all of my memes bc they weren't funny. I'm trying. I hardly bash liberals, those memes are just popular. Look at every one of my memes and count how many are bashing liberals, most are dominated by other things. Are you even checking my account, and assuming I hate women? I'll admit, I think most feminist protests are bogus whiny wastes of time, but I don't hate all women, and I don't bash them. If you want me to bash men without caring, go ahead. But I don't do that. I make bad jokes, they just never get popular. I make bad puns, and they get stuck on page 20. Just because I made one meme roasting liberals doesn't mean I hate women. Get your facts straight.
Do you think I really want to start flame wars? I post conservative memes here bc most of my close friends are 3rd party or liberal. Most people here are conservative, and I know they would laugh at it. Imgflip is a hobby of mine.

Just something to add: I supported Obama in 2012. I do not hate all democrats. Stupid decision of mine, because although he won, he never benefited our economy that much.

Okay. Out if curiosity, how far off was I on guessing you're a sophomore. I know you haven't hit college yet by your phrasing. This is part of your problem. It's not what you say, but how you say it. Your command of the English language reflects your age. Oh, sometimes you'll hit it right, but too often you sound like the "wimpy liberal" you're trying to bash. One reason why I suggested you avoid politics or stick to real humor. Unfortunately, you haven't been exposed to that.

So, I'm looking at the most recent posts you made. There are 14 on the page. Two use the college liberal and both are complaints about about white male privilege. One you hit the mark as a meme. The Batman one, came across as a scared little boy afraid a girl is going to beat him up. The poor Photoshop didn't help, either. So, that's two feminist memes out of 14. Quick calculation in my head puts that ~16%. Use your calculator to check it out. Being lazy in math is not good of you want to be a conservative because you'll lose arguments to facts, and numbers are facts that carry weight.

Next I move on to the next feminist meme, Willy Wonka. Somewhat popular, but you used the character wrong. Two words really killed it: "stupid feminist". Out of character. That brings anti feminist memes to three, or ~21%.

A couple of pro Trump memes. Okay. One was a little confusing which may have limited it's popularity, but the other was a simple message.

Your attempt at making a liberal meme? Here I had to wonder when you'd start Jr. Hi. Sure, you got the Rush Limbaugh crowd, but not much else. It's what would be called a forced meme, and people don't like things forced on them. The slurred speech text hurt it, too.

Next we have two memes about how your memes are handled. ~16%? While point whoring occurs here, I either ignore it or even downvote, depending on the meme and my mood. Usually just ignore it. It's poor practice to cry for points. One meme I did on my old account chalked up a lot of points not by begging for points, but pointing out I suddenly got a bunch of points, and at that point, I was afraid to ask how. My first really popular meme.

Your demotivational meme. Use an existing meme and make it a demotivational. Worked well, but don't go to that well too often. All that would say is that you have no sense of humor.

The cat called for jury duty??? THAT was excellent. Only thing I would suggest is learn to adjust the text. It should have all been on one line.

My suggestions. Since you're pretty set on doing political memes, join the debate club at school. You'll need it to learn how to back up your political memes. An example? You mention that Obama never benefitted our economy that much. Do you recall the financial meltdown of Wall Street in 2008? You were what, in kindergarten? I've watched the economy closely since I got my first job in 1972 at the age of 14. I worked up until I was 50, when I became disabled. First time in my life I've been certain of a steady pay check. I lost one pension and the other one is worth about 10% of what it was a decade ago, and I have 5 years before I can get that if I live long enough. I advise you to look at the history of the American economy from 1900 go the present day. Factors to look at are top industries and their profits and losses, wages and unemployment, tax rates and the make up of the federal government. Around 1932 they added a minimum wage to the labor laws. You'll have a great extra credit project to turn in to your social studies class.

One final assignment: this is part of your education to do political memes: get a job. It builds the character you need. If your dad insists on you not getting one, just tell him you don't want to be a liberal mooch. He may even help you find one. It's a lot different than school life, even if half of your CO workers are classmates. Or you can start a small business. A friend of mine ran a head shop after school. He was 16 and didn't want to work for anyone else. Head shops are illegal these days, so you may have to go with something else, but you'll work twice as hard for half as much until you settle in. After all, how can you complain about taxes until you have to pay them yourself. You'll learn about the economy from an angle you never expected.

But until you get those things under your belt, just stick to humor. Raydog is at the top with his old jokes because he doesn't get political anymore. He responds with jokes tailored to the person he's writing to. Never gets angry, laughs it off, and has a fun time. Old jokes? Read the comments, that's where the fun is. What about the top 100 that do nothing but political memes? You don't think their audiance is strictly here on imgflip? They have a social network they've built up on Facebook, Twitter, and other conservative sites. I do the same thing.

But you have to work at it.

Well here's my luck. I spent days finding funny images to come up with memes. Hardly any views, no comments, no upvotes. I'm trying, and your advice is failing. I'm temporarily quitting. Good job.

I don't know what to tell you. If the four I saw that I would rate funny didn't do well. The baseball one? Possibly because not enough people can identify with it that are on imgflip. The last couple of generations have focused on video games. My generation would have gotten it, but thinking of their own kids lack of sports enthusiasm, may have bypassed it. The Siri one was decent and should have gotten more views. Why it didn't, I don't know. Drivers permit one I can figure. Too many watermarks and wrong character. Drivers permit requires a licensed driver in the car, and, I speak from personal experience, that doesn't always happen, the driver looked to old and was missing that other person.
Your bad luck Brian pic? Got the most views because it said bad luck Brian. Looking at him, people felt cheated. You can put any head on Bad Luck Brian and he can be funny if it matches the theme (see Raydog's skull version) but to put someone that looks nothing like him whole, and with a bad premise, you're lucky it didn't get downvoted into oblivion, much less get any upvotes lr comments.

Have you read a joke book? Collected the corny jokes from Laffy Taffy? Those will get you somewhere if you chuckle at them without thinking. Right now, I have two that are doing well. The others just kind of petered away. One, last I looked, was on page four of hot memes, which is further than I expected it to go, the other has a lot of comments because it struck the right chord and I was right on it with a reply.
