Another good one! So many good comments here. :) My image is from The Misadventures of Flapjack; a cartoon my boys used to watch. It's the Dr. Barber character. He was always eager for a chance to perform surgery. I didn't know this but back in the middle ages barbers were called barber surgeons because they did more than just cut hair, like bloodletting, and pulling teeth, and of course surgery. :)

SNL used to do a skit with Steve Martin as Theodoric Of York, medevial barber. His remedy for virtually every ailment was a bloodletting. Gilda Radner played BroomGilda.
