Captain Picard Facepalm

I understand that reposts happen, often by accident (great minds think alike and all). But lately I've noticed a user posting memes that are virtually identical to ones that have been in the top spot on the front page for a day or so. And it's usually the same user, so there's no way it's an accident. I'm just wondering what that user is expecting to accomplish. If it's already on the front page, I've seen it and I'm not upvoting it again

I know what you are talking about I've seen it a lot myself. It is rather obvious to us that are active on the site. Sometimes they slip through the cracks and make it up the pages, guess they just want some attention but creativity is the only thing that truly gains that around here. Jokes get retold over and over again and changed sometimes with ever telling. But those type of reposts are the equivalent of somebody following a comedians act and then doing the exact same set of jokes to the same audience. That user is just hurting their ability to get noticed if they do decide to try being creative. They could make the funniest meme ever and half the people here will think they copied it from somewhere...
