If they are only referring to primary care physicians (non-emergency situations) I can see the logic. One should choose a doctor who's values sync with Thier own anyhow, in order to receive care that is appropriate for them. However if this includes ER doctors, it is extremely problematic. I also find it amusing that you can force a baker to bake a cake (a clearly non-essential service, but not force a doctor to provide care.

However, the comparison to Sharia law is absurd. It would require all doctors to refuse service, not permit individual choice.

I think the point you're Missing here is that in MURICA the religious majoitarian tyrrany is ("White" Protestant Christianity - for the MOMENT. In Indonesia and MANY, Many, many other places... it is Islam (translates 'Surrender to G-D").

So people in this Country freak out about the flavor of religious Gov't. elsewhere - While DEMANDING their Own PARTICULAR flavor of TYRRANY Here @ the HOMELAND.

If you account for Demographic Reality....Catholicism and Sharia look like good bets.

Yeah, Catholicism sucks. It's a shame that "Christianity" is used to refer to so many different belief systems.

I'm not ANTI anything....as for the comment on Catholicism - they endorse endless procreation - but the same is true with Hassidic Jewery often.

And (white) Protestantism (particularly Dominionism) is just as Patriarchal and insistent about Religious Law as anyone....it seems.
