They said "no, that's more work. Let me look at my knowledge sources." 5 minutes later they do what I said to in the first place.

Six months ago I spent an hour on the line with some tech group trying to get my laptop fixed. Since then I've probably spent at least that long just picking up the ringing phone at the same exact time every day, realizing it's them trying to sell me more, and immediately hanging up without answering.
