I'm not saying it's not possible some people were arrested for unjustifiable reasons, but please understand a lot of people were rioting, blocking highways, and breaking other laws. The law doesn't cease to be the law simply because someone's protesting something.

Also as someone who's worked, albeit shortly, in the prison system, nonviolent first time offenders and violent criminals don't end up in the same place, at least in my state.
