Staging a protest doesn't mean handing paychecks to protestors, or I'd have beaucoup bank roll. Most organizers get jack as well. Top dogs (full-timers within a group - like ANSWER seem like they mostly volunteers - but a valuable ASSET may have more than JUST one potential source of income....) in executive positions of an office holding left group make small cheese. I'd imagine the TEA PARTY was MUCH better paid.

Occupy is either dissolved or becoming "sleepers" - here in Venice it's like 1 guy, who chased away those who didn't agree with his schedule and vision, by bringing in WLA DEM and coffee party ringers to block consensus on issues that shouldn't have been controversial - given our points of unity....and STATED ethos etc.

I walked away in disgust after several years - and lots of successful organizing/protests/events. My beefs were personal. So I walked away. Got some COOL t-shirts though....

STAGING a protest is taking a peaceful march....and making it a RIOT. Whether ACTUAL Black-Blockers or cops posing as such....they start destroying stuff on the other side of TOWN....and your disciplined march has a new headline.
