Last week I watched my son's high school football team lose in round 1 of the local playoffs. It was a real bummer, they were playing a strong game -- ahead in total yards gained, ahead in taking advantage of turnovers, ahead on most every stat they track. But that's not how the game is decided -- the game is decided based on scoring. And by that measure, they scored only 7 points -- which is all that matters.
The rules are the rules and the electoral college elects the president, not the public.
