Again, I would like to reiterate that BS does NOT necessarily mean "LIE". It can also mean "MISTAKE". I do not think you intentionally lie, which means you ARE NOT a liar. But I think some of your statements, particularly those dealing with statistics, are mistaken.
I always check out Low rated comments, and I know I'm not the only one, so getting your comments downvoted isn't the same as being censored.
Generalizations are bad, REGARDLESS of who they are about, whether it's minorities or Trump supporters or ANYONE. Nobody is JUST a minority, or JUST a Trump supporter, or JUST a Liberal, or JUST a Conservative. This is, of course, a personal opinion.
I wonder that you, being a journalist, didn't actually look into Trump's statement as possibly TRUE, at least, in part. The prison populations of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana are RIFE with illegal immigrants who DID commit the acts of murder and rape, more per capita (in those states) than any other minority group you could mention.
But, true, the way he said it was a generalization, and WAS BAD. Point to you, there.
I have personal experience with the flaws of Bill Clinton's policies, and the flaws of Barack Obama's policies. I didn't want to experience more/worse with Hillary.
I also supported Trump for the same reasons that I supported Ross Perot back in '92 (until he dropped out/re-entered, anyway). He's NOT a career politician, he CAN'T be bought by special interests, and we NEED to take a business perspective on our government spending and debt.
You CAN'T have cable TV if it means you won't be able to make your mortgage payments. Not only have we been doing that, but we've also been taking out loans in our kids' names to pay for it all. We've got to buckle down, take some responsibility, make some tough decisions, and do what needs to be done.
Career politicians try to pander because winning elections is their livelihood. Trump may LIKE to get re-elected, but he doesn't NEED to. I think that makes all the difference.
I accept your olive branch. That's one of the problems with texting such as this: nuances, facial expressions, tonality, and all the things that add subtext to words to better convey meaning and intent are missing. I pledge from here on that I mean no malice in my comments to you (unless you talk bad about my mama LOL). Maybe we should do that whole grown-ups-agree-to-disagree thing.
