Exactly. I also change the shadowing. The font in front I change the shadowing to 2, and in the back usually somewhere between 9 and 15. I also change the front shadow color to match the primary font color for the back text so that it blends in better. Then it's a matter of choosing the right colors contrast just enough to make the effect look good, but not overpower it. Custom font color codes can also come in handy. Like the custom green i used for the primary font color in front for this meme. It needed the dark green primary font color and the default neon green was fine for the main shadowing. This is the best color combo I've used so far to really make the 3D effect look good. I think the ones I used on my Burger King one did ok too, but the Dysfunctional family one didn't turn out as good as I hoped it would.
