That's funny cuz I was watching them on a Chicago channel called MeTV up until about 2 weeks ago...and now they took them off the air again...I was a little pissed...Love "Welcome Back Kotter"!!! Me and another user were also talking about these guys...

Yeah, Kot's crew was very cool. Lotsa good stuff in the 70s - lotsa rubbish too :)

Man...you're killin' me!!! Once again, I was watching these guys on the same channel on Saturday mornings up until 2 weeks ago...they pulled both shows on the same weekend...and I was pissed about that one too...LOL

Lol, couple of 'ol farts reminiscing. I do remember Chiko and the Man but it wasn't a regular for me. I'm an Aussie so maybe it wasn't as popular here?? I always marvel at the success of Seinfeld in Australia which has so much Jewish/American humor which I thought may not connect here. It did of course - I'm a big fan. One thing I do remember quite well was getting up early on a Saturday morning in the 70s to watch the cartoons. You too?

Bugs Bunny Road Runner show, Godzilla, Thundarr The Barbarian, Shazam, Isis...and a bunch of others...

Love most things 70's. While my teenage years were spent in the 80's the best music for me was in the 70s. Fleetwood Mac, Led Zep, ELO, Floyd, etc. Over the years I've seen a bit of a resurgence in 70s blues rock revivalists (e.g. Black Keys). It's different but still heavily influenced by some of the above.

My family knew a child who was injured in the 1940s from a fall off a playground set, he became what back then they called a "vegetable" for the rest of is life. And I myself broke a collarbone acting like a derp on the monkey bars. Not to mention many scrapes and embedded cinders. Still - great meme there Dash! :)
