Yeah, most of us don't need to look back too far in our lives to see things we've thought or done that we're not proud of. When people point out my faults I just smile on the inside and think "you don't know the half of it". And of course, they are blind to their own failings.

I had that problem on Imgur. I'd post something decent, but in 10 minutes the trolls would downvote it into oblivion.

The pic here is one I posted in an album. That album showed a step by step instruction on how I took an old, yellowed, black and white cartoon into a colored cartoon.

Trolls didn't bother with albums, but they did with individual pictures.

I posted it for an older, mature audiance. Basically a guy that belonged to that many key clubs was not the guy you'd want your sweet, innocent daughter to go out with.

What's worse is when satire is taken seriously. Back in 82, I wrote a satire "proving" that the Smurfs were actually communist propaganda. I did a good job, I guess, because after reading it, my mom was visiting my brother while his kids were watching the show. She then recounted my article, going step by step the made up BS as if it were factual. He got up, left the table and went into to watch the show with his kids. From that day forward, his kids were not allowed to watch the show. Based on my BS satire. One reason why I'm so cynical about political emails.

Considering that, originally, There was no smurfette, I would have focused on on their orientation. I did mention that one female servicing a village had to cause probls periodically. Fortunately, Vanity Smurf could be counted on in a pinch.

That's not what the meme meant. The meme was referring to "censorship". You had to be "careful" or "politcally correct" at the time when you were referring to the Nazi regime IF you lived in german occupied territory at the time. Meaning, you didn't complain about Hitler or his regime or you'd prob be shot. You would understand this better if you studied WWII in HS or Uni. The Nazis were evil bigots and murderers. Do NOT confuse me with them. You are being "manipulated" yourself in the sense that you are jumping to weird conclusions. Read my comments and commentary completely before you make shit up. You have the right idea, one that, you have explained, I can appreciate. I still feel uncomfortable with your uz of the phrase politically correct, but I can not bring to mind a better, more descriptive phrase.

Just saw you mention bringing it down. DON'T! No, I don't want you to leave it up to mock you. You did well in explaining yourself. You got a good discussion going. Now the clarification is there, the discussion can turn to your intent and not misinterpretation. You can have the open dialogue about censorship and it's effect on society. As a progressive, I get a lot of people That try to censor me and my belief system.
