Lol, on a side note, what are cops using nowadays? I remember when they used 9mm it wasn't effective, but now whenever they shoot someone, the dude croaks. I was saying to my friends, the cops must be using .45's with hollow points!
If it comes to the point a cop needs to pull the trigger, I'd want something that kills too.
Regardless of recent events, if you don't stop what you're doing, and comply when a cop aims his/her pistol at you, you'd better be ready to pay the Piper.

I remember stories of 9mm not stopping people or pit bulls. I'm a .44 revolver owner, but if I was in the market for a semiauto, I'd get a .45
My primary Carry weapon is a 1911 .45 . Most cops are carrying .40 cal Glocks or Sigs due to ammo capacity over the 1911 single stack.( I tell em they are poor shots if they need more than 7-8 rounds).For Hunting backup in Alaska I carried a .44 mag Redhawk!
Back in the day, my friend was hell bent on buying a 9mm and I showed him some of the stories... He ended up getting the .40
I have the stainless S&W 629 with the 6" barrel. When I was able to talk my wife into allowing me to get a gun, I went for a canon :-)
