Well, it's just that I find it more easy for you to have your original memes noticed as your user name can be seen very easily through the leaderboard. And like you told me, original memes take longer to feature and will be at the back few pages or something.

Yeah you have a point, but I started here the same as everybody does. Some of the memes I just did didn't do all that well at all. The time it takes original memes to feature is usually longer than regular ones, but it's always random you never know.

I guess we all did start with 0 points and so. And I ought to give the respect u deserve for makin it big on ImgFlip. Also maybe I'm just a little paranoid with not getting meh memes going to the front page. Anyways, keep those original template-memes coming Jying :)

It's not like that bro, it just took me a while to get where I'm at and a lot of memes to get here. But still not everything I make gets seen and not everything I make does well. A lot of it is timing and luck, it helps that I've made friends and enjoyed making others laugh. But that's what really matters around here, just have a good time and the points will come. Don't get down if you aren't on the front page, just focus on having fun because if you worry all about points that isn't very much fun you know.

I Guess so, maybe I'm just a little attention seeking in nature. True though, I came here because ImgFlip seemed like a nice community and I already know it is by now. Being active on ImgFlip has made me happier in general, (especially after all my homework from school and stuff). It was nice that you helped me a lot when I first started ImgFlip which helped me along the way. I will definitely look forward to the what bestows on me by ImgFlip in the unforseen future. :D

I'm not a huge fan of reposts, I did upvote it, I usually just leave reposts alone and keep my opinion to myself. The only ones that truly bother me is when somebody copies something that is on the front page already, but still I keep my opinion to myself and let them do their own thing..

I see that issue very differently. The way I see it, reposts are the best way to honor a meme. If a meme doesn't get reposted, it just gets buried in someone's profile and people aren't as likely to see it after it its initial run. My greatest hope for my memes (or comments), is that someone would see that they're funny enough for others to enjoy and repost them in a good context.

However, since imgflip's guidelines say "No obvious reposts," I usually downvote reposts of memes that are currently on the front page.

Those are some of my thoughts on it, for what they're worth. :)

I get your point, and it doesn't bother me if it's what I consider and oldie but a goodie. Jokes are meant to be retold and sometimes people even add their own twist or use a different template which is cool.

I just personally prefer originality but I don't try to impose my opinions onto others. I will also downvote the obvious copies of a current meme that is doing well. That's as far as I will go. I do my best not to leave any comment that is negative in any way. People have their right to make any meme they want, just like I have the right to ignore them and move on to something I do like.

That makes sense to me, about avoiding negative comments as much as possible.

We all have different views of what memes we want to see more of, and less of - there isn't really a point complaining about memes we don't like. :)

Exactly, it's hard to find time to comment on everything I like, why waste time on stuff I don't. That's not funny, and I like funny :)
