A guy in Oregon was working at 2 locations of Subway for straight time both places for up to 40 hours EACH. The franchises were owned by same boss. It made the paper & there was a big stink. The guy cut one of his "jobs" instead of OT. I'm sure there was a mutual understanding before that, though. This situation is different. I hate it when employers have us over a barrel, but at least we have more reasonable labor laws in the U.S., and I have to say due to Union movements early in the last century.
