It is awesome, if it gets the point across. So now I could expect some right-wingers to suppose I'm pro-abortion.

Most conservatives are "pro life" until birth. Then it's every baby for themselves.

That's a bit harsh, but I get your point that it's even into adulthood. I think that American conservative culture is sometimes not as "biblical" as it thinks it is. We're not to treat people like scum, not even atheists. And we're to be wise & compassionate, not that I always am. People like my wife & I don't want to be associated the meanness.

So by that standard we shoot neglected children.

Two horrible wrongs don't make a right. Of course abortion takes away the option of even having the chance of neglecting a living child :(

Right, there are many examples of children having awful childhoods growing up to do great things. To say conservatives don't care is just intellectual laziness.

Of course most of us do care. My perception of the Republican Party, like many people, is that they care less than Democrats. It's the interpretation of how to take care of children that is part of the issue. My responsible son pays $1100 per month for one child's daycare , & Trump's so-called plan won't help him pay for it. // Trying to force less-privileged people to be responsible by saying crap about them does not motivate them in a positive way--basic psychology. Of course there is abuse of the system, but children shouldn't pay the price. I'm just sick to death of knee-jerk arguments that obscure the issue. And while I'm a Christian, but not a Republican for decades.

That's how it always works! First, IMPLY a critical false element, and then pretend to employ 'logic' to derive a false conclusion... Why can't someone be BOTH 'anti-abortion' AND concerned about caring for children?... One thing's for SURE, if you are okay with 'aborting' a child AFTER birth, you are NOT concerned about children being 'taken care of'.... Unless your definition of 'taken care of' is the same one used by a Mafia hit-man
