You have been around a bit then, glad you stuck it out. I spent over a month just making stuff for my facebook also before I even submitted anything. I was just tired of seeing poorly made memes everywhere and thought I'd make my own.
One day I thought I'd try to submit one and Reallyitsjohn commented on it, we talked a bit and I checked out his memes. Then I realized what the site was really about and I was hooked. At that time Raydog was on vacation and almost all the memes on the frontpage were about "where is Raydog" lol. At first I thought reposting was a big deal, I mean it does say not to do it in the imgflip rule book.
The first time I saw one I didn't know but when I searched for a pic to comment with the first thing I saw was the exact same meme word for word on google images. Now part of my job is a fact checker, I work for people that have me make sure they aren't plagiarizing other peoples material. So I flipped out and was like, this guy copied that! Even put a link to the original meme in a comment lmao!
But Socrates stepped in and explained stuff to me in a way that made sense and I ended up apologizing. I can't say I truly approve of genuine reposts that are exactly the same as somebody else's. But if somebody hasn't seen it and gets pleasure out of it who am I to try and ruin that for them ya know. I just make my stuff and go on about my own business leaving others to their own ')
